Pray for our brother Yousef!

Hey everyone,
I haven’t blogged in FOREVER as I have been battling sickness and disease but God is still good. I wanted to post an update on Yousef Nadarkhani and his current situation. I posted about his situation a long time ago about how he was awaiting a death sentence for raising his children up under Christianity and refusing to convert to Islam. The Iranian government tried changing their tune, by claiming that the real reason Yousef was awaiting a death sentence was because he allegedly raped someone. They didn’t want the world to be shocked at this lack of religious freedom, so alas, they tried something new. Something that didn’t work.

There have been recent posts and blogs stating that Nadarkhani has been executed, but these are just stories that are adding more fuel to the controversy of this story. Aecj, and other agencies have confirmed that Yousef Nadarkhani is still alive and imprisoned still  awaiting a verdict. Lets continue to spread the word about his situation (and about many others like him) who are being persecuted because they have given their lives to follow Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha’Mesiach. I believe that all of this public attention is God’s way of helping to stall this case and prolong this execution he faces.
There is a new campaign that I gladly joined and it’s called “Tweet for Yousef!”. It is reaching over one million people everyday with each tweet about Yousef Nadarkhani. You can click on the image at the top of this post to become involved and sign up with your twitter account. If you don’t have twitter, please continue to lift him, his family, and the Iranian government up in prayer.

God is so faithful and has a glorious purpose in every situation.
I pray that in these times, we would all cling so boldly to the redemption and grace found at the cross, so that when they (not if) persecute us, we too, will not waiver.

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. John 15:10
