Ah yes, the cliche, “Don’t give up!”.
God has been speaking to me about persevering in prayer. Prayer is very important, but many of us struggle to squeeze little time in for prayer.
I’ve been praying for some friends off and on through the past months for specific things waiting on an answer to prayer. We’ve been waiting… and waiting… and waiting for an answer and still logicially I’m trying to figure out the puzzle of … “Why didn’t God provide?”. Thats not necessairly the case…even though things seem like that at the moment. I know He’s still going to provide, but from how things are going it most likely isn’t going to be in the way that I suspect. So I got to keep knocking on His door! Keep up the prayer life, even though I don’t see answers at the moment and it feels pointless sometimes. It’s not.
Keep knocking on the door and eventually it will be opened.
v.9“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
11“Which of you fathers, if your son asks for[a] a fish, will give him a snake instead? 12Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? 13If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”
